hello  am refreshing your post  lets see if some else can verify this  info  also what year was your bimmer I have done a couple of 5 and 7 series with no problem mines where 2003 2005 around those years this is located in the service section

It`s a dash reset only.
Hold the left dash button whist switching to ignition 2, release when sia comes up press and hold again until reset comes up keep holding then it should reset.
