ds708 will not communicate with most vehicles

     example 2002 for f150 scanner says cannot communicate check connection, power etc... I can plug in my ms509 autel and it reads it just fine or a snap on scanner no problem, is there a software issue?? do I need to reload the firm ware?

    No software issue that i am aware of, but there have been a lot of problems with the
    obd2 adapter the red one,try the chrysler adapter see if that fixes your problem,if it
    does then you will need to buy a new one.the auto scan may not work using the
    chrysler adapter bu communication will be fine good luck and let me know.
