Can anyone advise how to write vin and Pin number to a new WCM in order to correct the vin mismatch code.

I found "replacing skreem and win module under body control but I could not get to a transfer of vin or a place to write the vin. I cannot program the key until I write the vin. I have the pin number. Vehicle is a 2006 Jeep Liberty.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the reply, but it is a WCM on the 05-07 Liberty. It is not a Skim, Skreem, or WIN.   It is located where the skim module would be, ( around the ignition lock cylinder). I did try the menu that you list above under skim /skreem replacement and win  replacement, however, it would not transfer the vin on the new module until I entered the 4 digit Pin Number.  I read the Pin from the logic chip on the bad module and had it ready to enter, but I could not because of  the vin mismatch error.  It was like a catch 22.

I have performed the vin transfer on a WIN module.---   Again this is a WCM, I just programmed keys on a 05 today and it is listed as a WCM on the Chry Part Number sticker, on  the immobilizer module.

    Thanks

Contact with Tech Support, and they will forward a work order to the engineers to correct the function menus for the 05-07 liberty, in order to recognize them having a WCM. for key immobilizer programming and VIN/PIN write.
