I have a customer who wants to install a used SKIM module and install a new key. Vehicle was stolen so the ignition lock cylinder is being replaced with a new one and 2 new keys. I also have to install a new SKIM module. So I want to know if the DS708 can perform a SKIM module replacement (a used one) and perform a key relearn. Thanks to all who reply.Tags: DS708

not a problem, when your done replacing the mentioned replacement parts just go to bcm/skim/miscfunction/skim replacement, remember a pin code is needed. be confident its going to work. -

Don't know about a used one though, not many tools can performed this function with
a used skim, hope autel can. Let me know how it went. I have tried before and not been
able to had to use other tools but I worked in so many of them that I can't remember
what worked and what didnt anymore I also have so many different tools that I can't
remember which one I used. Good luck. -

A tool called a t300 key programmer has a "virginize-skim" function that aids in programming a used skim module. I don't believe the T300 will read pin codes. -

Yes I have the t300 it does not read codes, but I also have the kp-819 tha programs
without codes also does mazda jag and rover mostly can bus though but is great no
pin code needed.
