I'm trying to add a extra key and need advice on how to do so with maxisys its been cut just need to program thanks

 o-k I must be doing something wrong I wait for ten minutes says access granted I then hit program additional ignition key, it then says the diagnostic tester is unable to communicate with module, the whole time I'm doing this I have the key that needs to be programed in the ignition switch in the run position ?  oh yea it's a 01 not a 02  we had way to many f-150s in here last week got this confused with another one thanks

 well I tried everything you suggested including enabling adding extra keys and nothing seems to work it keeps coming back saying key is already programed and i'ts not

I'm thinking it's just not going to work on this, if I ever get my ids set up I will try it with that, thanks for the help

 ya I thought about that you may be right, I'm going to take it the locksmith that cut the key and have em try to program it, i'll ask em about what type of key it is, i'll let ya know how it works out thanks

  ok I took the truck to the locksmith and he programmed the key in just a few minutes it was a h-72 key and his programmer was a advanced diagnostic  looks like a nice setup, I'm thinking that this truck is just to old for the maxysis thanks for all the tips
