First, the MS509 is a "End of Live" product. I assume you got a fake device as it is not longer sold by Autel.
Second, There is no software update anymore (End of Live). There is version 3 for original devices but
Third, the MS509 only reads generic ODB II (OBD, version 2) data based on the defined standards which are in place for cars from 1999 on.

You may simply have the issue that your card does not support the OBD II standard and the MS509 or any other pure OBD II scanner cannot be used.
