How do I reset the service warning light in my vehicle using the MS509 please?

    Hi,

    I have a Citroen Relay/Jumper 2008 and I want to reset the service light. Can I do this with the Maxiscan MS509 and if so how please?

    Also I have tried updating the firmware of my MS509 but the update software will not open. It says its not a valid zip file. Is there another way of updating the firmware?

    The MS509 is only a code READER.

    Therefore you cannot reset the service light with that device.

    Update should work as it worked for mine.
    May be the download was corrupted. Try again or with a different browser. I do not know your setup.

     Thanks for that fware.

    I've tried to update using 2 different computers. One with Windows 7 and one with Vista.

    Both say the update file is corrupted and won't unzip.

    I'm not having much luck am I. That certainly explains why I couldn't work out how to reset the service light.

    Do you have the MS509_182100480dvs.rar file ?

    At least that is what I got and it is a .RAR not .ZIP.
    You need 7zip or winrar to extract that file. Has worked for me but I have not checked the actual content of the Autel page now.
    7zip is free and does a lot of compressed files (ZIP, RAR, TAR...) You may try.

    Yeah that's the file I downloaded.

    I use WinZip mate, it's supposed to open any archived file but not this one apparently

     Hi, you can find the update pack of MS509 on Autel website - Support & Updates - Previous Generation Products-Old Products. Before that you need to download the MaxiLink first. Please try again if can get it done. Thanks!

    Hi, MS509 was quite old product and it has been discontinued for long time. We do not provide support or update for it any more. You can update this tool with the last update pack and try if can erase the codes. Thanks!
