hello this code drives me crazy the SLIP and VDC lights are on and there is no other code rather then C1142

all ABS sensor show the same speed while driving no leaks in brake lines
brake fluid is at proper level and brake pads are OK

when erasing the code it comes back instantly and the slip and vdc dash lamps never go off any help is much appreciated thanks and regards.

Hi its been a while since my last abs on Toyota but I believe this pressure sensor your referring to are the one on the master cylinder not the booster. this sensors are identical, they just read different. also if am not mistaken they stopped using them after 2007 or 2008. in other words if your vehicle is newer than 2008 then I believe you have the wrong abs ecu installed, if is before 2008 then check your master cylinder I think those sensors are installed there or on the line somewhere, could be on the proportional/equalizer valve, cant remember the exact location they put those suckers. good luck buddy when you find them let me know.

hi does the vehicle have abs if so have a look at live data somewhere in the data it should list brake pressure which should be zero without the brake applied my guess is it will show a lot of pressure in bar this proves there is an internal fault you can usually get this repaired by a specialist repairer, this is very common on vag vehicles

If you can't see on your brake line than its in your ABS Module as most new cars are build in ABS Pump..............

Yes I think that is exactly where is located on the abs pump. My last one was 2 years
ago, too long to remember, but I think it was there and had 2 of those pressure
    sensors with different color connectors.
