    Hi,

I am trying to regenerate DPF on several cars from VW group (VW, Audi, Skoda etc.) but can't manage to do it.
The MY908 is asking me a code and I don't know where to find the code.

Can someone explain me how I can regenerate the DPF using my MY908 PRO ?

    Thanks.

There are few different types of ECU on Vag Cars it all depends which is yours.......here are few options where you can find most of DPF info........

    1) 1.4l/1.9l/2.0l R4 & 2.5l R5 PD/PPD-TDI

    Measuring Blocks
Select both Groups at once 070 and 075.

MVB 070.1: Regeneration Status (xxxxxxx1 = Normal Regeneration active, xxxxxx1x = Forced Regeneration active)
    MVB 070.3: Regeneration Counter/Timer
MVB 075.1: Exhaust Gas Temperature before Turbo Charger
MVB 075.2: Exhaust Gas Temperature before Particle Filter
    MVB 075.3: Particle Filter Load
MVB 075.4: Exhaust Gas Temperature after Particle Filter

    2)  1.6l/2.0l R4 CR-TDI

    Measuring Blocks
Select Blocks 099 and 108 at once.

MVB 099.2: Exhaust Gas Temperature before Turbo Charger
MVB 099.3: Exhaust Gas Temperature before Particle Filter
MVB 099.4: Exhaust Gas Temperature after Particle Filter

MVB 108.2: Particle Filter Soot Mass (calculated) Alternate group 241.2 if 108 is blank
MVB 108.3: Particle Filter Soot Mass (measured) Alternate group 241.3 if 108 is blank

    Hope this helps..............

     Hi
The MaxiDas can't support DF Regeneration for VAG cars.
Anyway, thank you for your help.

     Support

For your information this 40168 code is ONLY for basic setting for ABS System and it will not work on Engine System.....................

You use this code to enable basic settings for..........

    1) Sensor for Steering Angle (G85)
    2) Lateral Acceleration Sensor (G200)
    3) Brake Pressure Sensor 1 (G201)
    4) Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor (G251)
    5) Tire Pressure Monitoring System Reset

    Hope this helps.........

     Hi all,
I am new to diagnostic equipment and the use of.  I carry out all my own repair work on my car at home and purchased a MaxiDas DS708 to help trouble shoot future problems.  I have a pre face lift 2011 Audi A6 avant 2.0 TDI 170.  Had I of known what I now know about DPFs I would have gone petrol.  But Alas after investing in the car and truely loving it I am now stuck with it.
So I am going to use the Maxidas to keep an eye on the car and make sure that it is looking after the DPF properly as my journeys are the worst for it.  Short start stop trips.
So I can naviagte the menus and see soot load calculated and measured.  Time and distance since last regeneration.  I believe I can even force a regen if needed.  But I cannot find the exhaust temperatures. I would like to see what they are so that I can adjust my driving style and routes to allow Passive regens as often as possible.
But where and how do you find on the Maxidas...
MVB 099.2: Exhaust Gas Temperature before Turbo Charger?
MVB 099.3: Exhaust Gas Temperature before Particle Filter?
MVB 099.4: Exhaust Gas Temperature after Particle Filter?
Thank you in advance for any advice.
