    Bought this scaner under the impresion it could do this ?

     Try Erase and reprogram 2 keys. The old keys will work but you must have at least 2.

    Sorry, the maxisys can't do this. You can use the maxi flash with  ford website/software, however you must purchase a subscription.

     PCM programming with the maxi flash pro is only possible with a purchased Ford subscription and program on a windows laptop.
    Programming keys can be done same way.
     I believe you still should be able to  program ford immobilizer keys  from a DS 708 or Maxi-Sys though, unless the capability was removed in later software versions.

     Should be able to reprogram pats keys, I just did a 2002 f150 with my mini on the latest ford software.

     That's good to know that Older Ford PATS key programming is still available ,Not sure if  VIN rewrite for used PCM still exists, however   reprogramming a PCM cannot be done with Maxi Sys , but  you  can  use the Pro's  J2534 VCI (Maxi Flash Pro)from a laptop pc with a paid Ford subscription.

    I have the maxisys pro with the j2534 ecu programer also scaner keeps saying maxisys shutdown and reboots

     Hi afauto, as for the crash problem of Maxisys, please connect the tablet with internet for a while, it should be Ok. As for the Ford programming function, we will add it into Maxisys pro in Q1 of 2016, as our current schedule. Let's expect it.
