     How do I know if it needs the update or if it already has the current versions of the BIN and AUT files?

    I have a 2007 Saab 9 3 Aero convertible and don't want to create unecessary problems by updating if it's not needed.

     Hi, you can compare the version that you have under About menu to the update pack version on Autel website to see if it is the latest version. Thanks!

     Thanks so much.  My device did need to be updated.  I downloaded and completed the update process.  The device works as advertised with my vehicle.
