when the fans stay running on a volvo....its usually a sign that the ac system is low on freon/or a fault in the ac system.
check it out and see what you find...post your findings

Hi bill, tested ac - ok. Test temp sensor and fan control module - ok. Sent engine ecu
for test - no fault. Checked continuity of signal wire from ecu to control module- good.
Surmised that after all tests that the fault must be in the engine ecu that didn't show up
on bench test. Replaced ecu and carried out updates - now fan working correctly. -

So, basically if you would have done a software updates on your original ECU Unit I am sure your problem would have been fixed...................!!! -

You're quick to jump to a conclusion and say that he misdiagnosed the problem, you were not there and have no clue. Please keep your "I know more than you" attitude to yourself. -
