I have tried the 16 pin OBDII port under dash and the 20 pin port under the hood. Can not get the oil/service life to rest. the dash has no issues showing when scanned

I have the MaxiDas 708. and I did try the old jumper wire trick for the OBDI system. To reset it as well with no luck

I have ran into that same situation and had to reset manually via the pins in the 20 pin plug under the hood.

Indeed with the pin connecting it should work. Even though MaxiSys gives you option and guidance how to do it with that tool but it will not work, trust me (found out after several tries and sending datalog... the reply was this has to be done manually, no idea why they did include the possibilty in the menu then?)
