Replaced the reader ring, checked wiring loom.
The car started after unpluging the dash cluster, but after a few hours would not start again, same symptom same code.
Has anyone seen this before am I looking at a failed dash cluster?
Is there anyway to get the four digit login pin without going to VW on this car, I know on the later ones not even the dealer has access.

What model VW is this..............? If its Polo than yes the Dash is the fault very common on Polo, Ibiza,  they are same dash....................Also when replacing the dash make sure you are replacing it with same part number and same version other wise the car will start but your speedo will not work if its version not matched to your original dash...........

    See link below..........

Same part number but different version the top one is V16 and other one is V08 so be careful
