    My device has an update available when checking my account (Active Software Period: 04/15/2015 - 04/15/2016 Update Available), but I seem to have to pay for it (50 USD).  I'm still in my first year of owning the VAG505. Shouldn't it still be free? The PC Suite says "no update available".  I'm confused...

    Hi, update for your tool is still within free period. Please go to Autel website to download the latest PC Suite software and try the update again. If there is still no update, please check with your ISP if the firewall setting has blocked our update server IP address 104.171.4.62, port 8800. Thanks!

     Problem solved.  PC Suite was up-to-date.  I had to format the SD card and install everything from scratch.
