     I need to know how to cancel the MIL using the Maxiscan 309.  on Daihatsu Terios 2004

     Kill the MIL?

    Think you better read the codes, fix the problem and then the light most likely will not light up anymore or you might need to erase the codes.
    The light is on for a reason, there is no such function as just 'turn off MIL'.

     Yes I do agree If the MIL light is not going OFF than you have a hard fault which needs to be fixed before you can clear the fault codes............
