N/a =not applicable, or not available. I would suggest you try another tool to try to find what code has been stored in the car's PCM. Some "OEM specific" codes will be displayed this way on some scan tools. OBD2 codes are somewhat generic, covering all brands of cars. Yet the manufacturer can have a specific code for a system on their particular vehicle that will set a check engine light, yet not fall under the cloud of OBD2 scannable codes. These very widely by manufacturer and NORMALLY relate to systems that should not effect emissions, yet may effect driveability or performance.
