Can I change an original ecm that's bad from one used in good condition with j2534 on a Dodge Durango 2012?

     I'm having to many Dodge Durango with bad ecm lately at work, and we paying someone else to program them, so I want to know that if I get just the j2534 I'll be able to program a used exam into to the vehicle ?  Thx
