     Hi All,

     

     

    My good customer(and friend) has changed ECU(what he says) on his personal car and called me wanna SYNC the new(I think used) ECU with DME, I never did before but READ some info here, I have AVDI but not bought any software does the basic package whatever is included with this capability 


    OR


     can MAXISYS perform this SYNC?

     no it wont be able to do that (what endine? gas /diesel? if it has dde you can swap eporms from old ecu to donor one...)

     I think you mean sync the EWS or anti-theft module with the DME or the engine control computer.

    Not sure what, if any Autel tools can do this. Not always as easy as it seems, rarely to non manufacturer specific tools do well with this type of programming.

      its not possible to just sync EWS  with  DME  the VIN will be different and it wont work.. but AVDI might just do it i dont have one so  i cant say..

       How do you even  know that your friend's  diagnosis of the PCM as being faulty is correct? Other than fuel pump access, everything else is pretty much a PITA to deal with and expensive as hell.I wouldn't  have it towed over  to you. Make sure he has a good battery charger and best of luck.

     lol  and a big emphasis on the good battery charger those things can draw 100amps doing nothing......
