    Unable to connect to 1999 buick riviera. Will read the hvac controller but no powertrain. My 200$ scan tool from autozone can read a code but lists 2 more as not in the system. I can't scan the vin I have to enter it manually and still no connection with pcm.

    Hi, for no connection with PCM, do you mean that after manual selection there is no communication with PCM when autoscan the car? Can you please advise the VIN code of the car and upload a data log for us to check if possible? Also please check if there is problem with Pin2 of the OBD cable. Thanks!
