If you are sure the free update period is over and that the tool is registered to your name and e-mail address, If in the USA I  would buy the new update from AES Wave and after you authorize your tool to update with the present  card in it , Don't update a damn thing on the old card just yet , but copy and paste all the old software contents safely to a new folder on your PC and copy and paste the folder contents to a brand new 16GB Class 4 Sandisk  SD card and then update the new card. Save the old SD card and PC Folder as  backup software in case functions  lost in newer version  might still be there or work in older software card.
