Sorry I can't find the Passlock system of this car in our tool. Would you please tell me the VIN No. of this car so it will be better to our checking. Usually, to bypass or reset the security system,.turn the key to the on position and wait 10 minutes... the security light should stop flashing... then turn the key off for 5 seconds and then restart the car. the problem is in the tumbler itself and to fix the problem you will need to replace the tumbler.

If car cranks over , I would think under engine control viewing  live data,  there should be a pid that reads something related to fuel enabled or disabled, and view rpm input and cam signal. If engine won't crank, you should probably see something like start enabled, yes / no or start disabled

You should be able to go into the body control module look for special functions and go into security and see passlock info

These vehicles have re-called ignition switches if I'm correct in thinking from experience. Located in dash not column switch sends out proper power mode to different modules. Sometimes one or two working other not causing certain modules (Body) and/or power distribution (fuses) to not work correctly.

yes the passlock can be tested like everything else. before you get to involved with a passlock issue make sure the security light come on on the dash and goes out within a couple of seconds, if it does you have no passlock issue. if the light does not come on or if it stays on then you do have a passlock related problem in your hands and you should check all fuses first and trouble codes stored in ecm and bcm. a passlock related problem on this older vehicles will allow you to start the car for one second then it turns off do to disable injection pulse. if your vehicle never starts with no spark and or no fuel/injection pulse condition,  then that is a different problem completely. a passlock issue will set a code in the ecm  and bcm or  evo/passlock control module, depending on the system/vehicle you working on, in this case is a bcm controlled system. some vehicles , specially newer one , it will disable the starter as well. to read the data go to bcm/data/security data or passlock data, and there you will find what your looking for hopefully. good luck.   also this system can be bypass for good  as long as the bcm and ecm is good by installing a resistor across the passlock sensor, many videos on youtube about it if your interested.
