i dont think  the 2005 matrix  has  tpm senors  in the wheels.  i know  the 2005 rav4 and camry  did not have them  .     the tpms  works off the abs sensors.   there should be  a reset button under the dash 

 there is a reset  button under the dash.    that will turn the light off    if it comes on again  after driving  a few miles    hit the button again  it might take a few tries

 i even checked the abs wiring diagrams  for the 2005 matrix.   the tpms button should be there.

  If it is USA region, only the Matrix after 2009 has TPMS system.
For other region, parts of Matrix can support to test TPMS. You can have a try the following path:
