If support or others are not able to answer question ,then  I would have to say that it has not been resolved yet, or ever will be. My guess is that Autel is more concerned about adding the latest coverage to the scan tools for new cars that you and I won't see in our shop for another few years to than fixing holes in the coverage of cars we see with problems everyday.
  Even with a DS708 with 16pin Chrysler adapter and mid 2014 software I have had communication problems with the ABS modules of pre 2003 Chrysler products and need to use my MT2500 at times.
