 This makes the case for backing up your SD card.  I'm new to MaxiDas, but I can already tell that it is an unstable tool.  I get odd error screens, incorrect data, inoperative functions.  It would not surprise me that program files get dropped off the SD card or corrupted.  I cannot update, so the first thing I did was backup my card in case something bad happens.  At least that way I can restore the machine to the was it was originally without paying $700 for update access.
