Maybe, are you talking about an update or did you replaced the engine controller with a new or used one? If it is a new computer and you program it with the jbox you MAY not be able to do the required coding with the tablet. If the car is older than 2004 you most likely will not be able to program it with the jbox anyway.

 with the jbox and a laptop, not the maxisys you can program any gm controller after 1995 to the present year. a gm subscription must be purchase at  acdelcotds.com in usa. read the forum for more details on how to go about setting up your laptop or go on youtube, there are many detailed videos on the subject. good luck
