Unable to read the DTCs on a 1996 Toyota Landcruiser that I am sure is OBD1

     Hi, I am unable to connect to the module of 1996 Toyota Landcruiser, that I am sure is OBD1, I am using the Autel MD802 scan tool in conjunction with the Toyota -23 adapter cable that connects to the 22 pin data link connector in the engine compartment, the adapter cable was purchased from Autel, any ideas on why the tool can't connect to the module?

     Not sure the MB802 can pull OBD1 engine codes, because the Maxi Das and Maxi Sys won't either. Only OBD2. Snap On Scanners can but I think there is a need to provide 12volt supply to the OBD1adapter.
