I have a 2002 Nissan Maxima with a P1610 code, locked immobilizer. I have tried to clear it with an MK808 but although it communicates with the immobilizer and says its erased the code, the code is still present. Does the MK808 support the clearing of this code?

When I try to go to hot functions under the immu/key menu, I get "Function is not supported by the ECU" Under the NATS menu, it initiates communication and I can read and it says it has cleared error codes, but I can't get to the key programming menu. I have tried replacing the immobilizer module and ECU with scrapyard replacements but still get the same result except I also get code P1615, unrecognized key, as I would expect. Is there anything else I need to do to get to the key register menu?

I go through the initialization under the NATS menu and that sems to work OK, I get the progress bar to 100% and initialization with the intelligent key module, then I get read or erase options. I escape out of that back to the immo/key option, but under that I get diagnose or hot function options. Either one gets a 'establishing communication' then 'ECU does not support this function'? Escaping out of the NATS menu seems to cancel the C/U initialization.
