I'm new to using a scanner, and mine is pretty simple...still, I'd like to understand something I can't find anywhere.

On my screen, just after the "code," it usually prints a dollar sign followed by numbers - like $10.  That one follows a P0430 code for sensor 1, bank 2.

Okay, I've learned that this "identifies the control module number from which the data is retrieved."  But...what does that mean?  Is there a site other than the o2 sensor that collected this data?  Is it a clue as to the specific source of the problem?

    Thanks for any assistance!

Thats because there r DTDs were freezed
    Just forexample
If you after disconnecting some alive parts such Ecu without referring to manual , that
would be your fault and dealers want you to pay for each mistake so freezes DTCs can
    be erased
Not sure but I use maxisys 908s pro , and have been through

Think the dollar sign is just a computer shorthand symbol that  refers to the OBD test mode that the information shown originated in.
Basic Automotive 101 detail stuff  that never really sank in .LOL
