Hello, I am working on the 2007 Bmw E70 3,0d and its got 4b90 code(low fuel pressure). This vehicle has a hard starting issue followed by a smoke and a rough idling. I've replaced the secondary fuel pump with the diesel filter with no success. I am hoping the fuel rail sensor could also have gone bad. Any help will be appreciated as to how solve this problem. Thanks in advance!☺

Hi hope that helps if you didn't fix it as yet. Have you done any clear adoption and rail
pressure reset. If all that has been done then replace the sensor. By the way on live
data what is the pressure of the rail?

    Hello.
Try to perform an injector returnleak test.
Also the commonrail regulator can have issue's in this regard.

Thanks for the response I've had look on the the rail pressure . The actual pressure is
109,77 bar while specified is 324,99 bar so I guess it could either be the high pressure
pump or the control pressure valve.
