Hi trying to do the same on my 07 Q7 4.2. Have been able to register new battery, I'm
using maxipro mp808ts and have been unsuccessful. No response from customer
service either they have been no help at all. Please advice if you were able to register
new battery. Thanks

 I'm having similar issue but with Maxicheck Pro. I go through the adaption process, but even though it states successful transition it reverts to the old battery.  I have also tried to regulation but I get a communication failure.
