    Hi,

    I wanted to run a DPF service to clean it with the tool.  I am able to go through the prompts, and just before running it, the Maxisys MS906BT says that my ECM software is out of date and I am unable to run it.  In my discussion with the dealer, they said that they are able to run it without an ECM software update.  I am guessing that I can get a flash from the dealer(for $165), but this seems strange to me.  Is the Maxisys MS906BT not able to work with the ECM that would be in the vehicle?

     BTW, I meant a DPF regen.  Before anyone asks why I want to do it, during snow plowing season, the DPF tends to fill up because of a lot of idling.  I am then forced to wait until the snow is off the roads, so I can perform this in the event this happens again.  I want the ability to run a regen in the unlikely event we have one of the big snows, so I dont need to wait for a melt off to run the truck at speed.
