NO ,and ive heard that if you put one of them in a different vehicle it will lock ALL modules in the car u install it in and youll have to replace every computer in the car        aka gm global A archatecture

 Sounds like some dealer generated Scare Tactic Bullsh@t to me. If it does it  I would first unplug radio  and if everything still locked up do a hard reset disconnecting the battery and holding the cables together for 10 minutes ,open the doors and cycle key on a few times and drain all the capacitors .

 It wont lock up every computer, it will lock the radio. So far I havent found a way to unlock them without going to the dealer.
