Got a high idle issue. Had a code for mass airflow sensor.
Replaced all vacuum lines, idle control valve, MAF sensor. Pulled battery cables for about an hour to reset ecm. Started car and it run extremely rough for about 5 minutes then heard a click and idle jumped to 3000rpm. Then got a code for VVT solenoid???....

Car came in for high idle issues prior to this. At that time I pulled the throttle body and cleaned it and the old IAC valve. Ran fine for a couple months then out of the blue the idle jumped to 3000rpm.

    Any ideas folks???

Where are  your fuel trims and fuel pressure at. Did you pinch off brake booster hose and other vacuum hoses and watch if trims and idle speed change, did you smoke the intake manifold? Hows the oil level and condition,  Do you have wrong viscosity oil that might cause VVT operation issues?

Oil level was low. Added correct oil. Smoked system no leaks. I did not check booster
    vacuum. Will do that.

Still no explanation for the click I heard then rpm shot up?

Pretty sure I would have heard a bad diaphram while sitting in the car. I did pinch off
    that line but no change.
