variable assist power steering test problem

I am doing a 2004 mercury grand marquis with a ms906bt and the instructions on the screen for the test say.On a autel ms906bt when doing
a variable assist power steering test it says ensure the following
initial conditions are met. vehicle is not moving, vehicle is in
park, " verify that service switch is on and the warning lamp is off."
The last sentence is the one I do not understand where is the switch I
am working on a 2004 grand marquis and can not find any thing about a
switch in the motorcraft manual.
Does anyone know what this wordind means?
