Purchased a MS-309 scanner in 2013 for use with a 2000 Chevy Venture. Worked great. No longer have the Venture but have a 2016 and 2018 Equinox. Tried to use it recently and the unit fails to connect on both. Tested unit on a 2007 Malibu and worked just fine. It is advertised as being able to connect to "any" OBD-II compliant vehicle after 1996 which is why I bought it. It is my understanding all late models US cars after 1996 are required to be OBD-II compliant so it's not an issue with the vehicles. Just curious if anyone who has this model has been able to use it on a late model GM vehicle.
Seems if Autel has falsely advertised this unit to do something it cannot (maybe that is why it was discontinued in 2015?), then they should offer owners some sort of credit toward a newer unit. I'd be happy to return it to them for credit toward a newer model because as it stands, this has become a useless tool for me and has tainted my opinion about Autel products.
