I called Autel USA this morning and spoke to someone named Vic that told me the 8 +12 cable will still continue to work as they did before. LOL.

I was hoping I could send the cable in for credit and get my first year of Auto Auth on Autel, but they sold thousands of those cables and you have the option to still use 8+12 bypass cable or not. Albeit, using cable or Auto Auth on vehicle will initially requires internet connection and  an active update subscription.
