Only had IM608 a couple of weeks. Can I make a spare key for Volvo V50 2006

Just a customer request for a spare key. Not sure if 608 will do it and if so what the procedure might be? -

Did you check the Function Viewer and see what it lists for Volvo?I've had my IM508 for a few months and I had quite a few phone calls for all keys lost situation, but nothing much came out of it , since I only offer key and Fob programming and don't supply the actual Fobs or Blanks , or able to do the key blank cutting. I had one person who came with a Toyota Smart Key that he bought used off of EBay, I wasted my time trying because it was already paired to another car and the IM508 didn't appear to offer any way to reset a used Toyota smart key. -

You have to do immobilizer smart reset, like all key lost then you add the new used key then you program the original smart key as add. Or you need other tool to virginize smart key then you can add without reset smart system. -

Trouble is I just wanted to add a smart key and there was nothing that asked me if the smart key was used and registered to another vehicle at one time directing me to do a Smart Reset. Seriously, I don't think I trust the tool enough to perform a smart reset which unnecessarily creates an all keys lost scenario where I couldn't get either smart key to work and vehicle to start again. I would have to let the customer know there would be a chance he may have to pay to have it towed out of here if it doesn't end well.
