So the Mk808 unit will not read my 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel says need additional cable hookup?

Remove parts of dash to hook up?

Where do you get cable and can you leave in all the time?

     Thanks
    John

For output of codes and live data on 2018 and up FCA vehicle systems ( other than generic OBD2)that have a SGM module your tool has to have an active update subscription with Autel and initially will require internet connection to Autel's server to download some sort of output authorization code .
To do any input commands like clearing codes, or doing any Bi Directional active tests(if MK808 can do) then you need to remove dash trim etc to access the SGM module connectors and install The Chrysler 8+12 cable that bypasses the Secure Gateway module.
I believe you might be able to pay $50 a year to Auto Auth and register all your scan tools so you don't require the 8+12 cable and taking dash trim apart . Call support and ask about your tool working with 2018and newer Chrysler and find out if Auto Auth works for your tool and whether or not that it will continue to work after your update period is over?
