following. I have a brand new IM608. Trying to learn key on a 2006 Smart Fortwo car. I click smart, expert,450,2002-, learn key and it wont communicate. My snap on zeus will talk to the immo but the autel can not. The zeus will say key learn but it is not. Car will start when I do it with zeus but wont stay learned as I think its not done properly as the key fob is not learned either. thought the IM 608 was able to do this for smart car

Thanks, though it says it should do the job on function viewer. I am stuck at this point with my smart forfour 454 2004 now :/
Anyone knows what tool should i get for this job to complete? Remote locks-unlocks the car, but immobilizer stays ON as the key symbol on dashboard showing. Needs adapt ECU with SAM unit as ECU shows the keys i have are there.

Did you have network communication when you were trying to program the keys? The
tool says you must be connected to the internet. It could be that Autel's server was
down when you tried to program the keys. You may want to try again. I had to try
MANY times to pull the PIN number from a VW Beetle but it worked in the end.

I would also go into programmer and read the keys chips to make sure the chips are the same type as working key
