Their tablets after software corruption or a reset looses some sort of encrypted authorization code that can only be restored by allowing it to connect to the internet and the server to confirming the tool is still within it's free update period in order to restore access to the denied diagnostics again because tool can't tell otherwise if the software is pirated or not and once the update period is over the server refuses to recognize and restore any authorization till you buy an update.
