     Before I travel an hour to diagnose a 96 S500 with a transmission in limp mode will my MS906BT with 38 pin connector be able to reset the transmission limp mode?

     Just realize any hard code caused by an open , short, or out of range issue will cause a limp mode condition, you won't be able to clear until the cause is repaired, no matter how many times you attempt to clear the codes
