Why is it now that I changed the crank sensor on a 98 GMC Sierra 5.7 liter I have a misfire cylinder 7 now. Can't figure it out. Tried everything I know of.

I have a 2014 GMC Sierra 5.3.  I replaced the crank sensor and now I have a P0300 or multiple misfires.  From reading, when a crank sensor is replaced, one must go through a "Crankshaft Variation relearn" .  I came to the site to see if my ML629 can do this, as a diagnostic tool must be used to perform this function.  Good luck.
