I have a model MaxiPro MP808 and when I connect to any vehicle and search for the VIN I get a message that the vehicle is not supported.  I was under the impression that the unit does not require a software update yearly unless needed for newer vehicles.  Can anyone confirm that this unit has to be updated yearly in order to be used for vehicles manufactured  prior to the purchase date of the unit.
