I have an Autel MK900-BT scanner. An indicator light on my car's dash indicates a low tire pressure. I have inflated the tire to the recommended pressure, but the indicator does not go off. I do not get any codes when I hook up the MK900. Does this particular scanner have the capability to erase TPMS codes? if so, how?

Hi, you did not mention the type of car and year ,does this car has a tpms system with
sensors in each wheel or not? There are systems with a tire reset function on the dash
or menu to accept the new tire pressure after inflation.

I have a 2016 Buick Verano. It has TPMS tire pressure monitors in all four wheels. There is no feature on my dash to deactivate the warning light. In the past, when the warning light has gone off, I would air up the tire to specs, then drive it around and this would do it, but now it is staying on.

Update: I was able to look under "Service" and found the "TPMS" function. Although it allowed me to reset the TPMS counts for all tires, the tire low warnings on the dash still will not go away. I checked the tire pressures and increased them several pounds, but no change. I will have to drive it around some more and see if it changes. If it does not, I may have a bad tire sensor.

Hi, don't you have a tpms sensor device ,so you can check each wheel sensor? Also on
gm cars it only allows OEM sensors ,could you see the pressure for each wheel on
your dash? The one that gives only stripes than is bad and need to be changed.

Hi, the life expectancy is about maximum 10 years of the sensors battery, you can not
renew the battery, you must change complete tpms sensor for a OEM one ,in that case
you do not have learning troubles.

My dash indicator reads that the left front tire only has 25 lbs of pressure. That is the same reading I get from my MK900-BT. Since it still reads some pressure for that tire, that tells me that the sensor battery is not entirely dead. But since my car is now eight years old, it may be time for a new tire sensor. There are other methods on YouTube for getting rid of these dash warnings, so I will take a look at those. I just spent some $845 on the MK900, so I will not be spending any more money on a specialized TPMS coder, and I will just take it to an independent mechanic to fix, if need be. Thanks.

Hi, now you did explain yourself that the cars left front tpms sensor is not good, since
you yourself increased tire pressure and the other sensors gives a higher pressure
reading and the lf sensor keeps showing the lower pressure, for that reason the
warning light keeps on burning.( solution change sensor for OEM one)
