Hello, This is my first time on here. I hope this is where I can ask a question like this. My personal vehicle is really giving me the blues. Its a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 TRX4 5.7L Hemi crew cab. A little background, its got 278,946 miles on it. About 3 years ago the tranny went out put another one in and did a tune up the engine new plugs and MSD street fire coil packs. Last year it started the ticking noise, first the exhaust manifold studs snapped. Removed the factory manifolds and installed a set of headers from summit. The ticking didn't stop so next I went for the lifters. Installed the AMS MDS delete. New non MDS cam, non MDS lifters, hardened push rods, melling high volume oil pump, new timing chain w/ guides. and new water pump. Removed the MDS solenoids and plugged them with the plugs from the delete kit. I found that the #4 cylinder lifter bearings were almost gone and the push rod was shorter than all the others, and the cam was starting to get groves on the lobs. I drove it 2 days and had to park it again because the trans started overheating found that the pressure sensor on tranny had bear wires touching. I'm guessing from pulling on the harness when having the heads off. Now it will run great for a little bit then all of a sudden the injectors will drop to 0 and the engine will run terrible but at the sametime it smells like straight gas coming out the exhaust. It does it when idling. Once I get on the freeway all cylinders are firing like they should. I can hook my Autel Maxicheck MX900 and rest the ECM and it might run great for a couple key cycles or continue to run like bad. Has anyone ran into something like this? Any feed back will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
