So I have attempted 3 times now to scan an OBD2 Honda vehicle for an SRS
codes, all three time's it was unsuccessful. The first two I did not
have the latest software, today i had the latest software and attempted
to retrieve SRS code from a 2005 Honda Civic and it simply stated unable
to communicate with vehicle.
So not really sure what to do but I purchased this model specifically for it's SRS/ABS capability.
I'm in the same situation. My post is right below yours. I was hoping it would read the SRS code on my Accord but it just says not in database when I try the SRS test. Everything is up to date. I did notice an SCS choice in the Honda menu on the scanner when running the test and I think it will actaully short the pins you need to read the code using the SCS connector and the flashing SRS light method but I think there's still one small connector you need from Honda to make that method work. I'm not 100% sure.
I just received my scan tool this weekend. I plugged it into the DLC on my 2000 BMW. I tried to retreive the ABS and the SRS codes (both lights are on) but tool states "tester not communicating with controller". Do I need to update the NEW tool ?
We have already noticed AL619 can't establish communications with some vehicle ABS or SRS units. We are doing an overall review for ABS/SRS service jobs.
For our customers, I would suggest you download the complete function list in our site and check what cars are available for ABS or SRS systems.
I am also having an issue communicating with the ABS and SRS sensors on my 2003 Subaru Forester XS (2.5L, 4-speed automatic) using the AL619...updating to the latest Subaru software (v. 2.30) did nothing to solve the "unable to communicate" issue...
I've also been looking for some link to this "complete function list in our site" you direct us toward, and I can see no mention of it anywhere. Can you provide a link to this supposed list?
If you do the flash srs method you can retrieve the srs codes ,just google it on how to do it , and if the 2005 honda civic was not in a accident there a strong possibility that you have a bad drivers seat belt buckle switch code 9-3, then you have to replace the seat belt buckle.
Hi on the website www.autel.com, you will see Support&Updates, go to Vehicle Coverage, select Model AL619, and type in the car brand you want to search.
