Failure message: clean diesel filter (original message is in german:diesel filter reinigen)

how can I start manually the diesel particle filter regeneration in the software of the MaxiDAS DS708.

I didn't find this option in the menu of Peugeot 206 1.6HDi

Are you sure that is is the DPF not the normal fuel filter as the message does not say DPF ?

as far as I know from other search is it a DPF failure message, this message is appears only shortly after starting the motor and goes away after a few second. The Autel MaxiDAS not recognize not any failure.

      So it is not permanent.

Use the live data view and check the difference of the exhaust gas pressure before and after the DPF.
May be you have a sensor fault not a DPF fault.

Anyway, a drive with about 60 km/h for about 30 minutes should trigger the DPF clean anyway (if required).
You may also check the "last DPF clean action" time in the live data to see if something was done automatically.

My engine (Renault) runs with 8 to 12 mbar difference without triggering a DPF clean.

Also found this (German) about the FAP way of Peugeot (additive, change of filter on 120.000 KM...)
