I cannot get Maxiflash Pro to act as a J2534 pass thru to check for updates or program Honda/Acura PCM.  It seems to communicate but always comes back blank with a 2011 TSX and error code 53 for a 2008 Honda Odyssey.  I am using the provided Honda J2534 software and it recognizes the Maxiflash Pro as the pass thru.  The Maxiflash Pro software is loaded proerly onto to pc (windows7 64 bit).  Any help is appreciated

I got the same result with windows xp.  Satisfied so far with the MaxiSys but am disappointed that I spent and extra $500 for the Maxiflash J2534 tool that is not working.  It does fine as a VCI, but not as J2534.  When I can, I hope to get some tech support.  In the meantime, it is useless for updating PCMs.

Not sure I understand.  I loaded the provided disk onto PC per instructions and used PC (with Honda purchased J2534 software per instructions.  Do I understand you to say that it works as J2534 with the Maxisys tablet and calibration files that reside on an Autel server?  Thanks for your continued help...still waiting for Autel support response.

Thanks for the reply.  I did have an opprtunity to use the Maxiflash as a J2534 with Toyota Techstream today.  It worked perfectly with the Techstream.  I don't have access to other manufacture's subscriptions beyond Honda/Acura and Toyota/Lexus to see what else it does.  Not to beat a dead horse horse, but is the plan for Autel to eventually maintain calibration files on their server and allow Maxisys Pro owners to flash/calibrate without using auto manufacturer software?

Boy I am glad I read this whole thing. It gives me a better understanding of the tool that I bought. Thank you both for clearing up some questions I had on my mind. So to sum it up I made the right choice in buying a maxisys now we just have to wait a while for this tool to really kick in to gear. So far the maxisys dose not owe me any thing this tool has been a god send for me so if it is just going to get better form here then bring it on.  I am down with the plan
