I have the same problem on my 1999 Z3. It should be finding the abs k-line 9141-k2 for those codes. But it will not link. The engine k-line links with no problem. I have an adapter cable that connects the 2 k-lines to pins 7&8 and the L-line on pin15. Also battery and ignition +12 volt lines. It appears that the MS609 scanner is not set up for earlier BMWs with the round plugs or the 9141-2k bus for ABS.  When I purchased the scanner I had understood it would do then ABS for the OBD2 system BMW.  -   flyhal@yahoo.com

 I have the 619 and am using it with a 2003 Subaru Forester XS (2.5L, 4-speed automatic), my 619 also reports that it cannot communicate with either the SRS or ABS sensors.  I have updated to the latest Subaru software from the Autel website (v. 2.30) , eventually going as far as reformatting the MicroSD card and then reinstalling all the relevant software...it made no difference.

I started a tech support "issue" ticket, and it's looking like I'm being blown off -- their reply below:

"I have talked with our field engineers.

We have done the 2003 subaru forester ABS and SRS system in the field, so we are pretty sure it is using the KWP protocol and we are capable of testing it.

In your case, there may be two reasons for not communicating.

1.       Your Subaru is manufactured for  some special areas.

2.       Pls check if the ABS circuit is fine.

 did you have your issues resolved.  I just got my AL619.  Is working great on my Benz S500 (reset SRS and got active code for ABS) and my LR Disco 2 (reset the 3 amigos and brake).  However, it will not communicate with my E46 330CiC.

 I too just got an AL619 and cannot communicate with SRS controller on my 2009 toyota tacoma; other comm is ok.
